Who am I for?
I am looking for clients who are wanting to embrace their natural texture and wear it curly 90-100% of the time.

Our hair is our DNA. We (and our hair) are beautiful as is! I believe our texture is not to be “dealt with” and beaten into submission by harsh chemicals and heat. It is to be loved and celebrated! I am here to not only to give you a good cut and natural style but to educate you about how to maintain healthy texture and to be the best expert of your own natural curls. I want clients to collaborate with me, both in the studio and as you do the work at home.

​My main service is to educate how to keep our hair healthy and how to style to the best of your ability at home. You are the best expert at your own hair, I want to give you the confidence to know it's true. I am here for regular cuts and shape that keep your curls at their best. No harsh chemicals and extreme heat here!
Only water, good technique and clean, non-toxic products.
All new clients will go through an education session with the first cut, hydration and styling. What you do at home is what you see every day. I'm not doing my job if I can't help you recreate or improve upon what we do together in the studio. This is a partnership, not a one sided service. I do better when you do better!
New Client Full Service
$150
Includes custom dry cut, detox, custom hydration & styling, and lots of curly haircare education, 2-3 hours (Recommend for all first-time clients)
Haircare Education Session
$75
Includes wash & style, no cut, 1.5 hours
Parent / Guardian & Me Full Service
$75
Same as new client full service, with an emphasis on education for parents / guardians of curly kiddos, 1.5-2 hours (For curly headed kiddos 10 & younger)
Maintenance Dry Cut
$60
Dry cut only, 1 hour (Returning clients only)
Cut & Style
$85
Dry cut, wash & style, 1.5-2 hours (Returning clients only)
Coming to Your Appointment:
Clients should come with hair freshly washed, styled as usual, and completely dry.
My Story
I have been a natural curly my whole life. People loved my curls but the beauty industry did NOT. By accident and after years of ignoring beauty trends, I discovered the original Curly Girl Method by Lorainne Massey and found out there were people who felt the same way I did. I found a curl specialist for the first time at age 28 and finally had a good experience in a hairdresser's chair. When I moved back to Kansas in 2011, I was worried about finding another curl specialist near my small town, but I was lucky to find Jamie Williams (now in Goddard), and I have been with her ever since. During the crazy year of the pandemic, I was hitting a wall in my career as a music teacher and needed something different. For years, sitting in Jamie’s chair, I felt that rural places needed more people who do what she does, when this idea popped into my head — maybe I could be that person. Jamie's advice and mentorship got me where I am today.
I have now been behind the chair since 2022, and I have loved every curly minute of it. I have trained with Jessica Fitzpatrick of Beyond Texture, Scott Musgrave of Curly Hair Artistry, and other professionals in the natural curly hair world, not to mention the mentorship I've received from my own curl stylist of 10+ years, Jamie Williams of Boho Curls. I forever want to learn from other curly specialists, as well as every client that graces my chair. Let’s take this curly journey together.

CANCELATION POLICY

I ask that you reschedule or cancel your appointment at least 1 day before the beginning of your appointment. If you need to cancel within 24 hours, there will be a fee of 50% of the service booked.
Please contact me if you are running behind. If you are late more than 15 minutes without contacting me, your appointment will be forfeited and you will be asked to pre-pay when you re-book.

No-shows will result in a 100% service charge and a requirement of pre-pay at next booking. Thank you!
